2016 Focus RS Snowkhana Xmas

Found this very entertaining. I'm seriously considering a 2016 Focus RS. One huge consideration is whether the AWD system is primarily FWD based until you stomp the gas, that's rubbish. Real full time AWD(like the Evos and STIs) or just stop....if that's the case then Golf R all day.

Like Sex Panther men's cologne, which 60 percent of the time works every time, the Focus RS's rear axle is all about complicated percentages. The all-wheel-drive system is capable of routing up to 70 percent of the available torque to the rear axle. From there, it can be split evenly between each rear wheel, or, in extreme cases, the system's brain can instruct the rear-axle torque-vectoring mechanism's two clutches to direct 100 percent of the rear-axle torque to a single rear wheel. Fun-with-numbers time: 100 percent of 70 percent of available engine torque can be directed at a single rear wheel to help rotate the car in corners. Dooorrriffftoooo!

EVOs are real AWD? Interesting....could have sworn I've read/heard from motor articles that is was more front biased than a traditional AWD. And my buddies STi (05 or 06) had the little dial that made it either 50/50 front/rear powered or more rear biased.

Evo's have more power oversteer than the STI, even with the DCC all the way back. Subie's understeer heavily when stock, the Evo was much more neutral.

Subaru's DCCD doesn't adjust the F/R bias it adjust's the amount of lock/slip in the center diff between the front and rear. its power split is 50/50
