Guys,
Let's just all be glad that we work hard and play harder, blessed to drive such nice cars as M3s and M5s and X5Ms. We are one FAM. See you this Fall/Winter when the F10 M5 drops. Go M Power! |

However, after 100mph, the M3 would walk an X5M.

E92 M3's can EASILY be faster than other M series cars with some mods...I havent lost to a single stock/lightly M5/M6 yet with my set-up now...and you strap a blower on the M3 its game over.... the 6MT M3 is significantly slower than its DCT counterpart......couple that with that fact you cant seem to drive and im not surprised the X5M walks you |

Also, X5M trap speeds are siginicantly slower than a modded m3 DCT....the x5M will pull initially due to better traction and torque advantage...but shortly after the M3 will start its pull.
My boy just picked up an X5M and my experience racing his car is completely different than the one of your video......who knows |

since when does "kid" imply calling someone out? I think its pretty obvious he has a hard time banging through the gears and his driving was the reason the M3 lost
also, starting speed is a huge deal-breaker for the M3.......its a torqueless monster......if your starting anywhere below 4500rpms your going to get beat every time (sounded like in the second run the M3 was real low in rpm range and not even being revved out)....... ....run the X5M from a 50mph in second gear and guarantee the results are different. |

I have an X5M and it is so quick when redlining it in third gear! I did the same thing in an E92 M3 and it didn't feel as fast in a straight line, but cornering feels better in the M3 because it's not an SUV (SAV in BMWs case).

The X5M will always "feel" faster because of the ridiculous amount of torque it has..the M3 is deceptively fast.
Same goes for "chipped" 335 owners who think their car is the fastest in the world...it "feels" faster because of the increase in torque...but at speeds of 80+ its a pure horsepower game and comes down to the hp/weight ratio of the cars, gearing, trannys, etc... and into triple digits the M3 has every single advantage possible in its favor (especially if its a DCT) |

possibly not optimal gearing on the roll, as for the launch from start we'll do another run w/ me driving may be different results

They are his cars.
Anyways, stock vs stock these cars put down near the same numbers in the 1/4. I personally think the M3 should pull ahead with the given mods though.

Also, in the first video, launch control would have been good as a comparison with both vehicles using it. Assuming that the M3 didn't use launch control, then why wasn't there any wheel spin (a slight amount) off of the line? That seems to indicate that the M3 wasn't pushed hard off of the line like the X5M was. Maybe everything will be solved by the OP driving his M3.
