Akropovic slip-on - BMW M Performance exhaust

Can't make up my mind. Which one sounds better? Akropovic slip-on or BMW M Performance exhaust?

if you want a throaty , deep note, go for M perf. Akra sounds tame though. Not sure with the m3 but c63 akra is even quieter then the stock

Sound is subjective so hopefully u can get rides in m3's with both set ups before u decide.

Akra is not so quiet when paired with a 2.5" catless x pipe:

M3 Performance Exhaust

I like the Akra, but went with the Performance to keep my car as stock as possible and to avoid the Nazi cops where I live. Initially I was disappointed, it didn't sound good, but after about 3 000 miles, it sounds awesome, cruising, it's comfortable, no drone, but when you accelerate it sounds fantastic, hard to actually describe.

Akra is perfect if you want to run a full system eventually. M performance becomes to raspy with any x-pipe. so if you to stay stock and just looking for more sound get the MP

The M3 I'm buying will have the Akrapovic Titanium exhaust with a slip-on and a Vorsteiner "Type II" Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser. I think it sounds better than the M-performance exhaust based on some clips I've heard.

The M Performance Exhaust is great, some of the best money spent on an M3 (should be able to get it for ~$3,200). Screams when you push it, hums around town, and zero drone at cruising. Gives my ears an erection every time I drive.

Neither. Both are too quiet. (IMO).

If you can't hear either in person to help you decide, the YouTube clips are fairly accurate representations. Personally, I prefer the M Perf sound over even the full Evo. I haven't heard just the Akra slip on in person but am sure the Evo sounds better which I have heard in person. Do as much research as you can and sleep on it. You'll eventually come to a decision.

Do the OEM exhaust mod. Great sound for 1/5 the cost.

Wow, so the Akrapovic is that weak? I'm expecting a significant difference over the stock exhaust. Mine's getting the Akrapovic Titanium with a slip-on. Will it sound considerably better than stock? It's a $7k system....

OP - the full akra system is pretty audible, here's a little GoPro HD w/ mic movie. Akra at flat out on the track and some mid throttle moments. Yes, the map is on because I get lost on track sometimes...
