Meaty tire fitment on OEM 18"

I'm going to let the Strasse's rest for a little while (mayyyyy be putting up a feeler soon), and I can't remember exactly what tires I had on the OEMs.

They were NT05s, and I want to say it was 245/45/18 F and 285/40/18 rear. I know the rears were 285 for sure, but not so certain on the 40 ratio.

Could I fit a 255 up front?

What set ups have you guys run on OEM 18s?

yes you can put 255 on a oem 18's front. i did a 275 on my previous OEM 19.. and it rub on full lock. and i dont recommend that cause it drives like shit on daily... steering feel is just weird to me.

thats probably the max i would put on that wheels. just to run a somewhat better offset in the rear make sure to run 275 with the rear oem thats that max i would put as well.

I didn't have any issues with the 285 rear. I just can't for the life of me remember the profile of that tire. I could almost swear it was 40. Do you think I would rub with a 255 front or should I just stick with 245?

on the 18's its 255/40/18 front and you can run 285/40/18 or 285/35/18

Well, tirerack offers PS2s in 255/40/18 and 275/35/18. So that looks like what I'll be getting. The only profile offered with a 285x18 is 30. Just too small

Edit: They also offer a 275/40/18

yea my stock OEM came with 40 all around. i would suggest to do the same... if not you can get 35 in the back but i prefer to run meetier tire for comfort.

275/35 is smaller in diameter than the stock rear 265/40. A 255/40 front will be larger in diameter than stock front.. this may look very strange as the front wheels will be larger than the rear.

Good deal. I'll go with the 255/40/18 and 275/40/18.

Anyone have a preferred tire other than PS2? I've run NT05s on these wheels before and they were great, but they wear too quickly.

The Pilot Super Sport is a better tire in every way than the PS2, and cheaper. In that tire, 265/35-18 and 285/35-18 would fit on the stock wheels, and it comes in stock sizes as well.

Would 265 clear without rubbing in the front? I don't need to go super aggressive. It's my DD and I'm only planning one track day this year
