This is truly a great color. I saw it on an E90 335 Sedan a while back and it looked awesome. If I had a chance/choice to do it again I would order this color and one of the dark brown leather interiors.

I drove the Barbera Red M3 while in Germany and have it now in the US (just picked it up this weekend) while they build and deliver the Moonstone M3. The factory shutdown in August didn't help with things, although I do get a 2011.5 model now.

The problem with Individual colors (AFAIK) is that you can't tell on the build sheet, bmwusa.com online status page, etc. what the actual color is. All it lists is "special order color" or something to that effect. It isn't even clear where the mix-up in the paint happened, whether on the dealer end, the factory, or somewhere in between, so I don't have any guidance on how to prevent this from happening to others going down this route.

It's a BMW individual color. You can request this and other "individual" colors through your local dealer. BMWNA has to approve the individual option and they charge around $5,000 for it.

Looks alright but wouldn't pay the individual premium cost for that colour

I think BR is pretty nice. Like a fine wine. Unique. I like it better than MR.

I agree. It looks good to me (..especially with the Comp Package), but it's not a color that I'd pay the premium for.

great color and great car, but I don't think the color suits the M3 well... it would look better on a 6 series or even a Z4

Here is a link to many of the individual colors, but your local dealer will have the comprehensive list.
