a major influence on used car value is that warranty that you say the car 'may' have if it can be transferred. This is huge. If you find out that indeed the new owner can resume the warranty then you can probably get another grand at least if not maybe another few thousand more? How do I know this number? I'm thinking about it as a buyer, how much this is worth it to me compared to one without the warranty. Some other buyers may give this more value, some less. With these cars and the rod bearing lottery and actuators You didn't mention the actuators replaced so this is another cost the buyer is adding into the future cost of maintenance. (notice I didn't mention rod bearings in future maintenance cost as this is a big 'if' but most would agree it's better safe to plan on a ~100k rod bearing replacement.)
Also, for me (not speaking for anyone else) when I see mods it's a turn off. Not so much in that the mods are bad for the car per say. It's just that when a owner leaves mods on a car we as buyers are now knowing that the seller is trying to get some of their money back for these mods whether the buyer likes them or not. So in saying that, cars with mods are unfortunately priced a little more to account for whatever the seller wants to get back for the mods. For me, I would rather put the mods on myself and pay less for the car. And as a seller, you'll probably get more for your mods if you take them off of the car and sell them separately. It's more of a pain for you to do that but now you can sell your car as stock and make the future buyer believe you never modded it. THAT is actually worth some value to buyers too. Now I'm speaking not as a M3 owner, but as a person who has bought and sold many used cars in the past and have been searching for a LCI E90 DCT for about a year now. Daily checking of Autotrader, and multiple craigslists in about a 3 state radius from me. So you're looking for a number? I would say list it in the low 30's and go from there. Ive seen several stock examples like yours listed at 28-30K. But with no mods and no warranty. |

As far as the actuators and RBs being replaced, they have NOT been done. As far as the mods go, theyre negotiable with the car sale, but ideally I will be removing the few that are on the car (wheels/springs) and selling them separately. |

I think that's a bit high. I just bought my '11 white/red E90 ZCP w/42k from a dealer for $37k.
