I've been using it for some time. For the cost it just cant be beat.

I have the Tom Tom GPS kit which really increased the accuracy...

It's sounding like the TomTom GPS kit with the NON-Kiwi wifi OBD II port tool, with settings on non-compressed is the way to go....

Has anyone had any success adding a track on Harry's lap timer?

I tried to add a hill climb here in the PacNW called Maryhill and while I was able to load the Start, Stop and halfway intermediate as data points, store and load the course, I had absolutely no success. What I got was just random starts and stops with no real tracking. Kind of like what was shown earlier in this thread with the GPS just making a straight line. So hints or help will be appreciated.

I'm going to PIR this Tueday and will try to get the an external GPS mount from Tom Tom or Magellan- any recommendations on which to go for? The Magellan fits the I Phone 4 supposedly better than the Tom Tom, but that could be old information...

I've been seeing some accuracy issues, but am only using the timer, not the camera. Times have been consistent to a certain degree but just seem off, does the Tom Tom adapter help that much. Go back on track Monday and will try again.

Damn, modern technology on our phones these days is just too amazing, haha. What will they think of next? Anyone else see the guy who's created the ECG to monitor your heart and everything by putting your iPhone up to your chest?

tomtom app? no you dont need it, you actually have to buy it separately. They offer a free app that gives you some info and supposed to get rid of the unsupported accessory message, doesnt seem to work on my iphone4

For what it's worth I downloaded the free App before I used the Tom Tom cradle. Make sure you see in GPS that the signal is changed to NMEA (not sure), rather than what you get when it is out of the cradle.

I was told directly by the developer (Harry in fact) that the iPhone 4 had a much improved gps and that I would not get much with the tomtom antenna. On the other hand he said the iPhone 3GS and earlier are almost useless WITHOUT the tomtom.

Where you guys all buying your TomTom mounts? I know it's not all THAT expensive, and I'll probably save cash versus timing in the long run, but if I have to buy the mount, I might as well save a couple bucks here or there.

Did you mean why, not where? If why, because you need a mount anyways and the Tom Tom with Gps should improve accuracy (despite some posts to the contrary and in my limited experience it does).

Where? Best buy- $80
