No one ever contacted me. I have my first service scheduled for next Tuesday. Car had the service indicator on for about a week before I called them. I have BMW assist as well.

Not sure about this, but the BMWNA brochure indicated that BMW Assist is needed for that level of support. Of course, if BMW never calls to remind you about the needed service, then it's of no value in that space. Maybe you need to deploy an airbag or something (ducking).

Hmmm...great ploy for the selling dealership to capture your business. Anyone know how I go about changing dealership info to my preferred dealer?

Does the SMS message get sent unsollicited or do I have to actually initiate contact via BMW Assist. The brochure seems to indicate I have to push a button to do this. You also have to have an active subscription.

I asked my SA today when I dropped the car off, and he said the cars actually send an email to the dealer and calls a line at the dealer (but if nobody's there to pick up the info dissapears, car doesn't try again)

he also said my car should do this, but didn't say that my car had emailed or called...

neat stuff
