I'm in the same boat (well not literally at least yet). I'm still waiting for my car to even get to production... and I ordered back in July. Apparently an "Individual" car takes a little while longer to get produced. I just hope I get mine by the end of October too.

Mine too is "scheduled for completion Sept. 27" What I want to know is when it will arrive? That is the most important thing. What do you guys think?

Ball park, give it a couple of days to get to the port, roughly a week (could be more! or less!) to get on a ship, roughly 10-12 days in transit. After that, another week or so to clear the VPC and get to your dealer. Call it a month plus or minus from completion to delivery...

I scheduled today be complete on the 27 also, and I have a 1k coupon and need car here to take delivery before October 31 also. Unless BMW extends it I don't think dealer will do anything cause I asked about it already when it was going to expire in September. I spoke to supervisor at BMWNA and they asked the higher ups and they said no. I even told them it was not my fault BMW closed for a whole month. Its like talking to a wall. We just need to hope car gets here in 35 days or so from today.

Website now says my vehicle is scheduled for production, and the 800 number says it's scheduled to be completed Sept 27th.

I ordered August 5th.

Anyone know approximately how long it takes a vehicle to reach the dealer on the west coast (San Francisco) after production completes? I'm really hoping to get it by the end of October for a road trip, but it's looking like that probably won't happen...

Mine finished production Sept 16th, and it's just sitting at the port now in Bremerhaven. The vessel takes about 25 days from Germany to Port Hueneme (near LA). Then it has to go through customs, BMW's VPC, then trucked to your dealer. I could all but guarantee you that you won't see your vehicle until mid to late November.

My vehicle completed on 9/17 and still is in quality check...I was thinking I'd get my car by the end of October though!

You should be okay for October delivery. My car finished production on 9/13, was at port on 9/15 and got on a boat on 9/21. It will hit the VPC on 10/4 and likely arrive at my dealer by the end of that week (10/8) if not sooner. (FYI, I'm an East Coast delivery).

If you were a West Coast delivery, I'd say your probably shit out of luck...but since you are NJ, I'd be willing to bet it works out.

Well I am sure hoping so, I have a 1 k coupon I want to give dealer. I'm not even telling him about it in case he tries to delay my delivery by a few days of it gets in are end of October. I know he gets the 1k back from BMW, BUT we all know how funny dealers can be. I'm started to get excited after 2 months of being aggravated.

My car was completed this past Monday and has been sitting the port waiting for a ship since yesterday. Next ship to NY is scheduled for 9/30 and I am hoping my M3 gets on it.

Can anyone please tell me how long does it take for a vehicle to reach a Texas dealer once it leaves the port in Germany?

What is the port of entry listed on your Vehicle Inquiry Report? If its Brunswick, GA, here is a listing of scheduled departures from Bremerhaven to Burnswick. From there, you can assume probably 5 -8 days for it to get through VPC and trucked to Texas.

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/portList.do

I know Kscarrol is in Louisiana and is going through the Brunswick port, so I would assume Texas is the same (I don't believe BMW uses any ports in the Gulf).

If my car is scheduled for completion on September 28th is there any way it gets on the boat for New York 9/30. If it does think I'll get it by the end of October?

Unlikely you'll get on the 9/30 boat, but there is still a good chance you'll have it by Halloween.
