hey i don't know if i follow ,and forgive me if i'm wrong, but Rust Brown is not standard. it's an individual color.

and i agree, i'd take it over beige and i disagree in that i think it looks great on a blue car.

My car was a June allocation, just finished production on the way to the port for shipping...

My specs..

2013 E92 M3
Melbourne Red (yes again)
Blk leather (yes again)
ZCP
Premium/Nav
6MT (yes again)
sunroof (yes again)

come to think of it..there is no change from my 2011

I was going to do a Individual color (Speed Yellow), but I was to late in the ordering process..

hey...if it ain't broke....

speed yellow is an awesome color. as far as my exterior choices went, it was between that and frozen grey. i went with a safe bet....but i always regret that every once in awhile.

congrats on the car!

I feel giddy! Mine finally made in on a ship en route to the U.S. Port Brunswick. Let the parts and accessories ordering begin.

Ya dude I agree. I want to class it up. I have black on black now and over it, esp with M3 missing console trim I need to add the lux back.

...I was almost going to post that your car was similar to fellow member eclipsis. Having seen it in person, I can attest to the MCB/BB combo's beauty so I'm sure the LMB/BB won't dissappoint either. Congrats!

Hahaha, I'd say your memory's pretty good!
You go first, where (in the world) is your FG/RB at?
Will you have it in time for this meet?

my car is on the "Aniara"....just went through the Panama Canal earlier this week and should be heading north to California. scheduled to be at port on the 24th.

probably be there a week, i'd guess to install my MPE and to wait for a ride up to STBMW.

BUT, i won't be taking delivery of it home just yet. will be off to EAS for some mods.

so while i should have it by the 18th....i won't be able to make it for that meet. i'll be pretty busy with work stuff. should be ready by the fall, though.

your turn!

Are you having it flat-bedded straight from ST over to Anaheim then? I think I couldn't resist driving it over myself, after a clear bra application, of course.

Mine was finally built on the 28th and is currently floating behind yours on the "Grand Venus" due to arrive in Hueneme on the 31st.

That's too bad that you won't be able to attend the meet, I'll regret not being able to see the FG/RB in person.

Now what are you having done at eas? Lemme guess, ESS supercharger?

as to how i'm getting to EAS...i'm still working that out. i may drive it part of the way there, so i'll have a chance to get a feel for it it stock form. i'd love to clear bra it....but that's not in the cards for frozen car owners. no one makes a product yet that will work seamlessly with our paint.

there are films that will make your car look matte, but no films that are for matte cars....or at least frozen ones yet.

that is cool. you had one of the last ones off the line. that must feel good knowing something like that.

hey, i want to see your ride,too....so i hope you can meet up at some of the meets later on in the year.

oh no...that's too rich for my blood. and frankly, i'm just not "there" with that type of modification to this car. i'm just adding some cosmetic mods. i think i'll start a mod thread for class of 2013 cars...i'll list details there.

I would double-check with Premier Protective Films. They have succesfully applied film to "alu-beam" and "frozen" paint and are the best in the industry. They can offer advice as to the type of film required that will not impact the look and finish of the special paint. I recommend them highly.

Glad to hear you're keeping yours NA.

my original statement on these films still stands true...and i even called Premier to confirm this. see, the film they offer is satin guard. that would turn your average gloss job to matte. you can use it on a frozen car....but unless you cover your whole car....you'll see a difference, not only in color, but texture as well.

actually, if you decide to cover your whole car, the color would be noticeably different that what you originally had, too.

but, if that's what you wanted to do, the cost?

$7500.00

at that price, i'd just wrap the car a different color for $3500.

so, i'll just have to wait until film comes out for Frozen. but see as how my M3 won't be a DD...i'm not too worried.

I'm familiar with satin guard and the cost associated, and wouldn't recommend the redundancy on a frozen paint. What I was actually suggesting was to just use one of their low-gloss clear films (understanding you would have to wrap the whole car) that will still allow the frozen effect to come through...oh well, if it's not going to be a DD or see track duty? ...as you said, no worries.

well, i feel dumb...i should've asked about other options. low gloss makes sense. even though you'd have to cover your whole car, you may get closer to retaining your original color that way over the satin stuff....and keep a matt look.
