Oh that's rich considering someone that doesn't even respond to text messages!

The lastest:
We now have the low end of the numbers to go ahead and make the booking. I will be sending out paperwork and asking for a deposit so I can pay the track booking fee. Also another great opportunity... for numbers between 15 -20 we can get Doug Chappel for $26 to $20 per head for tuition and 5 laps in your car under his instruction. Also Doug does the brief and instructs on safety and driving techniques. Doug has over 40 years experience in motor sport with more recent years having been spent in Sports Cars with many Championship wins and places, plus twice winner of MG Car Club of Queensland, Race Driver of the Year. Dougs' vast experience has been put to good use over recent years instructing others one on one in a variety of on track products including V8 Experience, Time Attack Track Days and Stokell Motorsport Track Days. Anyone who knows Doug or has been under his instruction before will know what a bonus this is Also we will be taking videos and photos on the day. My wife is a photographer so if you want photos or videos let me know on the day.(no charge) and make sure to bring your GOPRO Come on guys, if you are thinking about it it will be sensational, let me know. 20 is the ideal numer, we now have 16. Final cost will come down to final numbers. The more the cheaper but we do have to set a limit. Last edited by DaveDee; 07-20-2012 at 01:25 AM.. |

Cut off Date today Monday 13th August
Hi Everyone
Today is the final day for registration so that the cost per member can be calculated and sent out tomorrow. If you are thinking about coming and have not yet committed today is the last day. The final number at this time is 21 which is an ideal number for the day. |

Everything is a bit touch and go from me at the moment. Bloody M3's! I'm getting a shudder from the drive-train under load. Car is booked in for next Monday morning so let's hope they can diagnose and fix the issue then so I'm good for the track day..

On the recommendation of Loren, a local with a Supercharged e46 (one of the fastest, if not the fastest in Australia) I have booked the car into Accelerate Automotive. Not exactly a convenient location as I live in the city but I think worth the trip to take it to someone who is familiar with working on E46 M3's. |

Having said that, I will still pop down as I've already paid anyway. The mechanic has advised that as long as I don't replicate the issue then I won't cause any further damage. The only saving grace is that the issue happens at 3-4krpm in second so in other words as long as I take off easy out of the pits and don't go too slow / take it easy out of slow corners I might be alright. My intention (as long as no one has concerns) is to take the car for a couple of laps. See how it feels and if I am replicating the issue I'll stick it in the pits and take photos for everyone else. Let's hope that's not the case! |

Well it's that or we could always switch M3's for the day. Rumour is you don't drive yours
Unfortunately even if I could get the part the job is between 6-8 hours which would be incredibly difficult for the workshop to fit in tomorrow. I'm at the point where I've given in and I'm just hoping I don't have to resort to taking photos all day.. |
