ICONZ Wheels... 1 year wait, no wheels no money

Hello guys,

I really need your help or advise. I placed a order for Iconz wheels last november-december and paid 2500$ in advance in January. Still have no pics of process, no wheels, no money back. A few months ago Daniel @ Modcity told me to talk straight to Iconz and during the first month I got promises and replies pretty quick. Now all I get is that we were out office / busy at SEMA and a question that what should they do with the parts and what kind of refund am I thinking of plus it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply and for the last month no one has picked up the phone or answered my e-mails.

I am fed up! I have all e-mail conversations and a credit card authorization form which is dated and says that the wheels will be delivered by April 2012.

I need help, I want my money ASAP.

P.S. This thread is on the 3-series forum as well, but didnīt get any help so far.

I am willing to pay a reasonable reward, maybe you guys have some companies in the States that can take care of this for some money?

It is really hard to deal with this from Finland and unfortunately i donīt have any friends in the US who could help me out...

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried calling your credit card company and disputing the transaction?

These god damn shady wheel companies piss me off. Adv, 360 forged, now these guys.

I haven't done that, but I think it isn't possible since I paid by a debit card and has been almost a year? Please correct me if I am wrong..

I wouldn't do business with a company with a "z" in place of an "s". I'm surprised you were able to wait a year. Definitely call your credit card company..

Go on m3forum.net and look for Iconz there as they are/were a sponsor and always seem to have a few threads going and someone there may have ability to help you.
Good luck. I believe they are a newer company about 3 years old

Dispute it with your CC as others have said. I try to order wheels only from known companies, as broad a statement as that may seem.

Just call them and say its an unauthorized transaction. They are basically committing fraud. In my book thats called robbery.

+1 - you've purchased a product from a vendor and they haven't delivered the product in a reasonable amount of time (in ths case custom wheels which should take approximately 4 weeks) - I concur with ROB_S2K that it's fraud and robbery! Get on the phone and call your CC company!!

No way any wheels should take a year, regardless if OP is over-seas.

People need to stick to reputable proven wheel makers, and forget about all these fly by night companies..one way or another you will end up paying, either through inferior quality or customer service.

I am surprised some of these small "high end" wheel companies can even stay in business. Forget about the initial purchase, what about if you need to replace a damaged wheel, which is a very real possibility? Why would you even buy from one of these companies? Honestly, the one company that is just so superior in this market segment is HRE. There are also a few other solid small company choices....Vorsteiner, Strasse, Morr all seem to be reliable. Why anyone would buy a full custom wheel from anyone else in this day and age is beyond me. For non-custom choices, you have BBS, Volk, OZ, and alike.

Think people, think !!

I will give the bank a call tomorrow and lets what happens... Should've gone the other route and got HRE's or something similar...

What if the bank declines, are there any "collector" companies in the states that could help me out?

Please send me a PM if you don't want to discuss this in private..

Thank you guys!

Why did you wait 1 year to take action? Why would you pay $2,500 in advance? Seems very naive of you. This may be a costly lesson.
