why not take it back to them to get it cleaned up. It is their job

Sorry, I don't know how to get the headrests out.
I just have to say (maybe I'm being too demanding here but) that kind of thing is just not right. They should not only leave it clean, they shouldn't have messed it up in the first place. Use a cloth under the window. If I were you I wouldn't do business with that tinter again. Good luck.

I release the seat back from inside the trunk, once the seat back is pulled forward (to clear the rear window) I just press the button on the side bottom of the head rest and lift the head rest all the way out.
