I've have seen others have pretty good results with them on E46s and E36s. There are rumors of quality issues.
The AST4250's were a close 2nd to my TC Klines for my E46.

Actually, what drove me towards TCK was the beginning of my anti-Vorshlag stance.

TC Kline makes a hell of a product, more common in the E46 community. I had a set on my E46 and they were the shiznit. KWs on my E92 now and very happy with them but TCKs was my second choice.

depends on what you're using them for, track or street?

You'll benefit more from a dual adjustable set up

Also you might get a little noise, rattling with TC at least that was the case before, KWs are a lot smoother, something to consider if it's your daily driver

. That's an easy fix with a shorter spring....

Doubles give you some more choices with spring rates. So if you are OK with TC Kline's spring recommendation and don't plan on increasing spring rates at all...I think singles will be fine.
But...I'd try and spring for the x2s. That's what I did. I'd hate to buy singles and then realize I really should have gotten the x2s.

Now that Ohlins has brought the price down, I don't think there is a reason to get anything but Ohlins. They're really that good. Stock top hats with the pins removed for street, and camber plates for track if you can deal with the additional NVH

There is for sure a trend, not sure which direction. My experience is with their earlier double adjustables and the Grand Am GS spec shock. Both leaked and both had issues with adjusters moving on their own. Again, great conceptual design, good price. Not sure how well they have improved their QC in the past few years but at some point you have to accept there are other very good alternatives out there.
