I know you got the record for the 1/4 but still, the VT1 kit still pilled some cars on you off the line.

And too bad we never ran head to head !

I am good man hope your well as well. I know what the Vt-1 kit did because it was able to put the power down. I couldn't put the power down till 3 gear and you can see me pulling uptop where i had traction. Look what i did to a Vt-2 at atco that day to put more cars and he couldn't catch up.Hows your car doing done? i want a ride in it lol.

Your answer
There have been no engine failures Caused by our supercharger kit.

We have seen plenty of engines fail without a supercharger though. Your engine failure has absolutely nothing to do with our tuning or supercharger.

Have a good day.

They did answer it publicity in post 267:

- Your ecu data suggests your over rev happened at 26,183 miles. We installed your supercharger at 24,345miles.

I wish you the best Jordan and I hope everything works out for you.

If I may, let's just look at a summary of what's going on in order to bring this back on track -

- OP posts his experience. His exact intention can never be known but it seems like a warning to the public that AA's kit caused the failure.
(Please correct me if I am wrong here)

- AA of course reply defending themselves with data with one major fact that the engine did go over their set rpm limit.

There are many here who sometimes say things they shouldn't say and maybe behave badly but in reality I strongly believe that most if not all are reasonable people. Given the serious matter here and what's at stake I think everyone needs to think before they post. Agree?

This is all a very serious matter and could ultimately effect the reputation of a company that has a very good reputation (based on feedback on this very forum).

If AA are being falsely accused then it would be highly unfair on them.

If the OP is right then really his warning should be taken seriously.

I am just curious where this ends up. What ultimately matters here?

PUBLIC OPINION (?)

That's why it's all on a PUBLIC FORUM right?

So a POLL to end it once we have discussed some more of the technicalities possibly?

The thing i don't get is Why did you still sell Active stuff after you think they blew your motor? Why did you wait so long to post it? Active bought their kit back from you when they determined it wasn't their fault and you agreed then. Why change your mind now and try to get more money?

There should be no confusion about a cyl head potential issue (note combustion chamber) causing piston damage.
It's besides the point. My findings may not be related but rubbing people up the wrong way really doesn't help.
You could just say....'thanks for the info but i don't think it's related'
No one gets offended and nothing becomes of it.
No hard feelings from me. I hope you see what I am getting at.

To get back on topic here-

I never sold any more of their s/c kits once mine failed. I had a client bring me one which was used..

As for the battles, back and forth between others, I do not encourage or condone that. Start your own flame thread.

I will be back in town Sunday and will take pics of the engine and post them up. I will also get the exact data from the DME extracted and deciphered from Mike.

I thank you all.

Very informative thread thanks to our experts discussions. These are some serious accusations to a company that prior to this, I thought had a good reputation. When you do this, you better have some solid evidence to back up your allegations, or... have a good lawyer. To me neither side is telling the entire story. I hope Mike can recover info from the DME that sheds some light into what really happened to that engine.

Also, look at the data AA provided in the freeze frame. Why would the transmission speed be significantly less if a mis shift occurred wouldnt trans speed be greater than engine speed?

If I am mistaken I apologize.

My dealings with AA were always through Jean and Omar. Those two guys are top notch! The only time I was directed to deal with other people was when problems arose.

I did not promote your F/I kits once my engine failed and you left me high and dry.

I had to damn near beg Omar to help me out with this, and his efforts are probably the only reason why AA did anything. I was given a price to do the kit upfront and I paid it. I was refunded thousands less than I paid.

Did you all end up using the kit on someone else's car? Would you admit to that if you did?

As for BMW denying my claim, that is very interesting to say the least because I took it to the largest dealer in the area where it sat for some time and they even sent out forensic people from BMWNA. I suppose it was a viable attempt to send this failure away from you if you felt it was a manufacture defect.
Karl told me directly on the phone it sounded like a manufacture defect and to take it to BMW. Why else would they tune it back to stock? I have the AA software flashing kit and could have ref lashed it myself, but Karl insisted I remove it and send it in so he can clear ALL data. So I did.

This movie has more subplots than a film by Quentin Taratino! I do enjoy the facts and great information being posted but lets wait for the information to be interpreted from the flashdrive without the disagreements unrelated to this blown engine.

We removed it so we could read your data which we did and have on file along with your software version at the time.

If you Worked with those two and you said the person who helped you out told you to return it to the dealer is it clear to say you are accusing someone who no longer works at AA?

I am doing this now because I have had time to realize I was wronged and I feel others should be aware of how this situation was handles by your company.

I'm sure if the forum members find you are in no way wrong for the decisions you made, you won't need to worry.

But again, like I have said before, the truth ALWAYS finds it's way to the surface.

You made no effort to see the engine or deal with this issue in a manner I would have expected. Never once did you ask to get the motor down there for analysis. I'm glad at this point because I don't know if something would have been modified to make it look like it was more my fault, thus taking you off the hook.
I don't trust you. I have seen first hand how you run your operation and how you treat your employees, which to me speaks volumes.
