We were hoping you'd show up since no one had a tuned car.

I like this dyno, it is a little bit of a heartbreaker. Definitely more conservative than most other dynojets I've seen.

Impressive though, very nice numbers.

FStop, nice meeting you today and nice wheels again.
Post your dyno too. Save the file to desktop and upload as an attachment.

Something is wrong with my car. It was down on power and the dyno plot starts to get shaky after 5000rpm. Either there was knock detection, a problem w/ fuel delivery, or a problem with airflow. Also my car stalled out and threw an SES light after the dyno, the symptoms were the same as the idle air valve failure that many 08 owners have experienced.

I am going to check the air filter today to see if it's clogged. If not then I want to look at the spark plugs to see if they're OK.

Any powertrain mods? It is a little rough up top.
Unfortuantly, BMW won't fix that idle valve until it throws a code. Make sure they change out that hose too.

Boost is 0.5bar or about 7.5psi. Only mod is an RPI GT exhaust system. A blend of 91/100 was in the tank for these runs.

Why is the torque dropoff at redline so sharp?
Just the nature of the engine, you can see the ECU adjust the vanos around 7500 (note slight dip in HP/TQ) to maintain the torque peak but it runs out of steam around 8K. Nonetheless, 90% of peak torque is available from 4-8K, which is nice.

Is this with final tuning?
Not yet, still making adjustments for all fuel octane ratings, 91, 93 and racegas. Will be doing a 1500 mile roadtrip this week to further test reliability. I'll post updates about this project as we get closer to finishing the final tune.

The supercharged M3 was hella impressive - sounded great and ran very smooth. and nearly 400lbs of torque to the wheels is awesome.

It was nice meeting everyone. The Gpower was very impressive on the dyno, and from the passenger seat. Here's my dyno.

It looks like a very conservative Dynojet, so I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers. The roughness up top looks a lot like mine did when it was stock. Turns out my wife had filled it with Arco 91 octane. I'd be willing to bet that you got an unsavory tank of gas last time you filled up.

What type of gas are you running now?

After an exchange of PMs with Mike B I think Powerchip is in my near future.

I'm running Chevron only (Mike's advice) and the car never skips a beat. You really can't go wrong with a custom tune because our 91 octane gas out here is sketch .

BTW - What exhaust did the supercharged car have? The tips looked like Gintani, but I thought they said RPI. Did RPI change their design? Whatever it was it looked really good.

What were your gains on the tune? I was hoping that someone with a tune would've showed up that day.

My car made 20whp with Powerchip's tune. What I've noticed most is that the car makes that power consistently. Before the tune you could tell it was losing and gaining power frequently based on different weather, fuel, fuel trims, etc.
