This is actually a fairly complicated question. Generally, I use the following colognes, sparingly.

Name: floris 89.jpg
Views: 1557
Size: 20.4 KB

Name: dunhill man.jpg
Views: 988
Size: 187.6 KB

Name: polo double black.jpg
Views: 941
Size: 11.7 KB

The Floris no. 89 and the Dunhill Man are tied for my favorites. The latter has been discontinued, but I still have four boxes of it. Nobody really wears either of these, so they're pretty unique. The same can't be said for the Polo, but it still works well for me.

Getting out of the shower, I typically smell like some mix of the following.

Name: coconut.jpg
Views: 1240
Size: 34.9 KB
Name: bath oil.jpeg
Views: 1014
Size: 14.5 KB
Name: johnsons lavender.jpg
Views: 1049
Size: 10.4 KB
Name: palmers.jpg
Views: 997
Size: 47.1 KB

As my two main forms for exercise are running and swimming, the later means I have to get rid of the damned chlorine smell before I go out and use of one of the above also prevents my skin from getting all dried out.

Also, FWIW, one night after swimming my friend's wife couldn't stop smelling me because she said I smelled like cookies. It was kind of embarrassing actually as my buddy was standing right there the whole time. I was wearing cocoa butter and polo double black that night and apparently the combination makes you smell delicious.

I don't use that many products. It's typically one or the other, not all of them. Basically shampoo, conditioner, lotion (only one, it alternates between those pictured above), and cologne. Yes, Floris is awesome.

Funny thing about cocoa butter is.. I have been using that stuff since I was a little kid. There has never been a product that can match its effectiveness/smell. Maybe I am programmed to connect that smell to cleanliness?

I definitely have some in my med cabinet at home.

Palmers cocoa butter chapstick is the only one that works for me...my lips get dried out damn fast when I ski...due to my record setting velocity and overall WINNING...I've only been able to find it in the big ass "glue stick" size but people have said they've seen it in normal chapstick size. If anyone has a link to that I'd appreciate it.

I rock the shae butter for my hands because they dry the fuck out from constant washing and using that stupid antibacterial stuff. The stuff from L'occtaine is clutch.

Dont go to Metro for perfumes, you'll end up walking from store to store looking at all of the selections. Holt renfrew just has them all out on a desk and you get to smell everything on the market. convenient, yes? I think the mark-up their perfumes like 5-10 bucks, but it saves you 3-4 hours walking around metro (unless you settle for the first w/e you find).

Ermm, I couldn't find that designated perfume shop in Metro. I ended up going into the section at London Drugs once and picking up a D&G Light Blue. But I went to Holt after and picked up a Bond No. 9.

You could also try Sears at Pacific Centre downtown, they have half a floor devoted to all the individual perfume carriers. You won't find everything though. Holt has the most selection.

haha i see~ maybe it's not there anymore.

was gonna to see what people recommend here for a birthday present so I dont get too overwhelmed when there is too much selection to pick from, and i find its interesting how guys buy different colognes every once in a while.
I have Anna Sui and YSL in Love and after using them for a few years they are still half full. ~

Oh, from your perfume collection I imagine you're a female? So this is shopping for your boyfriend's birthday?

When shopping for someone's new scent you should, if you're his gf, pick one that you want to smell on him yourself (don't care if he loves it, he'll love that you love smelling him haha). If you're just his friend then get together with 2-3 other friends of his and pick out a scent that you think would suit him. Warning: Some perfumes make guys smell like instant douchebags. He might not like that first impression
