Will S5 Evo and RS5 be priced to compete against the M3?
Well, obviously the S5 Evo and RS5 will be very good competitors to the M3 performance wise, but will they be priced to compete against the M3? What are you guys' guesses on the S5 Evo and RS5's price?

Over here in Europe the RS5 will be a little dearer than the M3 (M3 £50K vs £54K RS5 - my guess) but in the States the price difference will be much greater.

when i shopped the rs4 while on the m3 waiting list...
rs4 with a performance package had a sticker of $76k (usd)... my guess is the rs5 is gona be up above $80k with options reaching over $90k (audi'll have the expensive packages that should be standard in at least RS models!) |

The RS5 would be definitely priced to compete with the M3, although I have a feeling that the price difference here would be pretty big. guessing a 20000SGD difference here. lesigh.. this doesn't include the options yet!

RS5 will be more expensive.
If the RS4 is already more expensive, and the baseline A5/S5 are more expensive than the base A4/S4. Then there is no reason to think a RS5 would be competetively priced against an M3. Especially not with the engine it is rumored to be toting.

An optioned up S5 stickers for around what I paid for my M3, and that's not counting dealer mark-ups. The RS5 will surely be more expensive.

I'm a big Audi fan; have been since Audi introduced the A4 in '95. The prices are too dear, but in my view, Audi has decided that it doesn't need to beat BMW in performance (handling, steering, etc). They just want to be the german version of Aston Martin, sexy, performance-oriented, GT automobiles. Nothing wrong with that, IF people are willing to pay for it.

The upcoming Audi TT-RS is rumored to be priced around 70k when it arrives in USA......does this tell you something about the RS5?

A dealer quoted me "80s" when I made an inquiry a few months ago. Seems to be priced between the M3 and M5.

Price wise the S5 is the comparative M3 competitor. I imagine the RS5 is going to be close to 80K....
