e93 headrest won't move up and down on driver's side
Just picked up my first m3 - 2011 space gray convertible. I love it.
One thing I noticed is that the electronic headrest adjustor switch (for up and down adjustment) doesn't seem to work on the driver's side seat. It works on the passenger side. I think I got it to move all the way up initially but now it won't move at all. When I click it up I can faintly hear the electric motor or whatever trying to move the headrest. When I click it down - nothing at all. All the other seat movement buttons seem to work on the driver's side. Any possible explanation for this or quick fix? Or is this going to take a trip to the dealer? |

Sounds like somethings busted. If you hear the motor one way it's probably not a simple fix like a fuse.

Thanks for the info. Seems weird that a newer, low mileage car would have this kind of electrical problem. Is this common? Or evidence of a larger issue with the car? Hope not...

Seat modules don't just go, you must have ran over something...
At least that's what MelvinMrBMWBey says....
