I'm doing ED as well just need to go and order my car, planning to go around may or june as well. Would be nice to do the trip with fellow members.
I was quoted 1k over ED invoice as well and I'm getting E90 in SS with Fox red extended leather with aluminum, saw it in person and it blew my mind.
Congrats again on such a beautiful ride and hope you'll enjoy your trip in Europe.

We've been down that path already with the 328i.

IB on bamboo will look fantastic! I was afraid the leather would be too light but is just right in person. Most photos of bamboo come out too yellow. Just wondering, why not the winter package?

Any updates on your itinerary? I highly recommend Salzburg.

PS: Try to schedule a factory tour before you get there if you want to do one. I had to plead to be added to the 12 o'clock tour and my wife and kids missed out.

I'm stated for 2:20 pm (we arrive that morning).

In other news I made a last minute change and decided to go with SSII instead of Jerez. Someone has a debadged SSII E90 M3 underneath Pru Plaza and I can't stop staring at how it shows off the lines of the car.

I was also worried about the maintenance on a Jerez with swirls etc. I really wish BMW would have more color options for the Ms. I really wanted a straight silver (lookedin into individual and didn't have the time to pull the trigger).

I figure it I hate the SSII (which I won't) I cacn always get the car repainted to a silver-metallic.

Yea i still have yet to see Bamboo in person so im hoping i made the right choice. Never thought i would ever own a car with BEIGE interior.

I didnt get winter package since i didnt care of the headlight washers since they make such a mess. Also didnt care for the fold down rear seats. Figured without them its one less potential rattle to happen. My 328 now doesnt have fold down seats but my 335i did. So i know I wont miss it. I did however order heated seats separate. Wished they offered Heated Steering wheel on the M3 like they have on the 3series.

My itinerary is still up in the air. If i do Salzburg then i have my route planned out.

I will only have the car for 2 days so i need to make it count. I really want to make a trip to through the Alps somewhere but for now they are mostly closed. Im keeping an eye on them to see if they would be open by the time im there. So i will have more of a solid idea what im doing in the coming weeks.

I land on the 27th at 8am but my pickup date isnt till the 28th. Im thinking of just going to the Welt on the 27th and see as much as i can and do the museum also. I will then see when they can fit me in for the production tour. That way on the 28th when i get my car at 9am i can leave right away and go on my route hopefully.

SSII is really nice and it seems pretty rare on these forums. I think its a great choice. Actually I cant recall seeing a 09 SSII yet. If im still there when you are then maybe we can take some pictures of the two M3s outside of the Welt? Im bringing my DSLR camera.

Yep, I cant get off these forums lately. Im that excited over the trip and my M3. My first M-car and picking it up in Germany.. what more can you ask for?!

That colour combo rocks. Salzburg is lovely. Any jaunt from the Bavarian Alps into Austria is a great drive.

Heres what im thinking. Might be a tad crazy so let me know.

Wednesday:
Land at 8am in Munich
Tour the Welt, Museum, and factory tour
Beer. Sleep.

Thursday:
Pickup M3 at 9am at Welt
Leave right after (11am?)
Drive to Stuttgart to tour Porsche and Benz museum.
Drive back to Munich
Pass the fawk out.

Friday:
Head over to Berchtesgaden and maybe Salzburg
