Audi Style LED Lights (Yay or Nay)?

I think that adding these lights adds a crisp flavor to the m3. What do you think? Do the lights last and are they reliable?

These are installed on a 5-series:

I'm thinking of buying these:

Angel eyes are the BMW thing. If you like the led strips get them but I have to say Nay.

+1. I think they look stupid. save your money and preserve the sanctity of the M. if anything, get AiB's or OSS or something like that.

just my 2 cents.

If you want a car that looks like an Audi, you should probably buy an Audi.

nay...you drive a bmw, not an audi..

if you really want a beaded LED look, get the LS3 or OSS AE kit...

just get an audi.. other manufacturer tried to copy the angel eyes but it just doesnt look right.. so what im trying to say is ... if you put the audi style on a BMW... we all know its just wrong to do it in the first place.

I dont know why but those lines of LEDs I see on cars piss me off so much. Living in LA, if theres any mod (good or bad) you can see, its here.

Camrys, Altimas, Lexus SUVs, BMWs, MBs, Tahoes, Cadillacs, with LED strips. WTF is the point? Look at my not-Audi?

With that said, I believe audi wanted to make a signature headlight piece like BMW has with the angel eyes. And Audis S5 LEDs didnt look bad at all. Unfortunately for Audi, those LED strips are so easy to replicate, it watered down the trademark look they wanted to achieve.

exactly.. each manufacturer has a signature look... audi has the led strips and BMW has the angel eyes... the whole idea is brand identity... So for example car enthusiasts can recognize an Audi, BMW etc from far away... now if you copy styles that's just lame IMO...

Wow so much overwhelming, or should I say unanimous, opinion on my question.

Ok, point is understood and taken. Thanks for the heads up guys. Excuse my lack of edu-mah-cation but what are angel eyes? A short description or link would suffice.

It is funny that Mercedes copied Audi. I guess Mercedes can't come up with any good ideas. Competition makes auto manufacturers do funny things. I notice that the new 3 series copied the Mercedes in having the black plastic cover at the bottom of the rear bumper.

And, the new 335i's even copied the M3's rear bumper too.

A car was following me the other night. I couldn't tell what kind of car it was since it was dark, but all I could see were the headlights, fake halos and fake LED strips (had them both). But even in the dark, through my rearview mirror, I could tell how terrible these aftermarket ones looked. When I turned, and he passed me, I could hear his coffee can exhaust as he floored it, I guess trying to impress me.

This is what you are thinking of putting on your $70k car?
