Group buy: PROcede/PMW Meth Kit/Turner test pipes
Hi all, I have a 3 month old E90 M3 Pure Edition that I am loving to death.
In the next couple of months I will be ordering a couple of things from Vishnu Tuning in the states so I thought I'd let you guys know, and if anyone else is keen we can share shipping costs. I'll be getting their: PROcede tuner - http://procedetuning.com/styled/styled-2/index.html and PWM Meth System - http://procedetuning.com/styled/styled-3/index.html I will also be ordering the Turner Motorsport Test Pipes through Vishnu, again to save on freight - http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-13...at-delete.aspx I am just waiting on the sale of one of my cars before I start throwing money at the M3 which is why I'm not ordering right away. I have spoken to the guys at Vishnu and they have been very helpful and quick to respond to emails. Can't wait to see how the meth kit goes down under. |

I'm going to install myself. They have detailed instruction on their website now. It doesn't look too hard, just a bit fiddly in parts.
I'm sure Southern BM could install for you ole85. I only know what I've read on their website and in the couple of topics on this forum but I've been familiar with the benifits of meth kits since back in my Evo days. It's not common at all in Australia for some reason. |

Yeah, I like the idea of the meth in the washer fluid bottle personally. No running tubes all the way to the boot. |

Oxy,
Have the guys at Vishnu indicated what sort of power hike you could expect with the Meth, Procede and Test Pipe combo for an AU spec car? I considered the Meth & Proceed option after reading the forum post here, but it seemed that as my car is stock, and running 98 fuel, the upside would be minimal. From my understanding, the big power hikes were for the FI guys (lowered charge air temp), or those on crappy fuel (i.e the US guys, as the Meth effectivly bumps the octane rating up). The test pipes on the other hand, I like. Im just looking for a 'no-cut' option. D |

Hi Deano, I know what you're saying about the fuel but I was always under the impression that the 93 octane stuff in the states is on par with our 98 so I'm still expecting a similar sort of increase in hp to the guys who normally use the 93.
I still think most of the power increase will come from the cat removal though. I've also decided to add a pulley to my list as well. Does anyone know what a stock M3 normally puts down on an Aussie dyno? The US dyno numbers always seem to be a lot higher than what we see here. |

The tune and catless pipes
I don't think meth will add a lot of benefit to an NA engine though. I've run meth previously on an N54 to lower IAT and increasing 'octane' so I could safely increase boost. I think with meth alone, and no extra boost it added only a few ponies. Also very shady for insurance |
