worse "Teaser" ever...v.Eibach

[ I warned you guys ]

Just put some eibach ( ) pro springs on the fronts ONLY (e90 M3, ZCP, 255/275), and the car's stance is absolutely PERFECT now!

Not much time with it (~50miles), but observations so far:
- Ride is absolutely "near identical" to stock... similar feel (stiffness, rebound, etc)
- There was a hint of floatness on the stock ZCP springs that I always felt on the car, specially at 80+ mph speeds, but it is GONE! the thing is rock solid now, the way it should've come from the factory.

pics will be coming soon...

very true!

yes, fronts only..the gap/stance on the stock ZCP springs were not equal, and I was perfectly fine with the rears; additionally, the slight Float feel seemed to come from the front end of the car.

Technics did it this way a few weeks ago, so I went that route... excellent choice.

I assume that this increased the rake? My KW sleeve kit is set to give me equal fender gaps (or lack thereof). While I am most likely lower than you, that resulted in the front shocks bottoming out (ouch) on occasion.

couldn't tell you at the moment, since I haven't taken it into deep territory, but I did happen to try it on some of roads that I use to determine bottom-outs and rubbing and such, and have not felt any bottom-outs or even the slight bumpstop touch, etc.

Hopefully this weekend I will have more data points after some more time on tough roads, but so far so GREAT

Mix matching springs is not good really, it probably sits the way you want it but you are loosing what really makes the M3 shine, the handling.

I didn't have a chance to take pics yet, so those where the ones I had in my phone.

In terms of "handling effects", yes, while I agree that mismatching springs is not generally a good thing, in this case it really didn't make a difference whatsoever since the Eibach's progressive thresholds are extremely close to the OEM spring rates, and the drop was not very aggressive at all from ZCP to this.

We shall see soon enough on my next track day.
