Looking To Return To The Fold + A Seat Question
I am looking to return to the M3 club (either E90, E92, or E93) after a detour thru a number of great cars (went from an E46 M3 to a Porsche 997S to an Audi RS4 to my current car an Audi S5). I also had an E36 previously as well. As I have been test driving all three versions of the car (Coupe, Convertible, & Sedan) the one thing I noticed is that it seems the side bolsters on the seats are tighter on the coupe and sedan than on the convertible (convertible's seats are slightly differnt due to the integrated seat belt). Even with the pressure fully released on the bolsters I find them uncomfortable and I am not that big of an individual (always thought the seats in the E36 and E46 were very comfortable). Do they loosen up as they break in? Seat comfort might make the decision be the convertible. Thoughts on this would be appreciated!
Also, really enjoying going thru the forum looking at everyone's amazing M3's and getting ideas on potential Mods! Thanks, Anthony |

I know what you mean. I am a 6.1 210 pounder and I find the bolsters on some car unbearable. That said I love the seats in my E93. Plenty wide.

Side bolsters and lumbar are adjustable on most cars.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

+1, maybe even all M3's. I have the manual seats and my side bolsters and lumbar are both electronically adjustable. Make sure to adjust to full wide before you judge. I usually keep mine pretty tight, but loosen when I'm wearing a winter coat and sweater. I love the adjustability.
