When I moved to the Bay Area my buddy and I basically did the same trip Baltimore to Oakland. We made it in less than 48 hours. We are some crazy asses. I recently moved backed to Baltimore. I absolutely love the Bay Area. I plan to move back to the Bay Area very soon. Have fun and be safe.
