Will you be keeping the Z or going to a C7? I personally like the overall looks of the C6 Z06's much more than the C7.

Sticking with C6 for now until they get all the bugs out of the car. Plus, I would wait for the Z06 version of the C7

How much did those brakes run you?

I'm thinking about switching up to Carbotech XP10 Front/XP08 Rear. Mine does DD as well, though short commute nonetheless. Are those fair for street driving as well?

Next season I'll likely run separate brakes/rotors/wheel-tire for track altogether.
Actually the raybestos list for 300 and the rotors were 660. Kept the rears stock. The factory brake biasing had no issues keeping the rears up with the front setup

Never got around to it...I actually just sold it yesterday to upgrade my family ride to a 640i gran coupe. I'm looking to get into a c5 z06 now. I'm definitely sold on the corvette platform. Had to downgrade my toy for the fam wag. Can't wait to get back in a z06 though

sold my 2008 e90 m3 for a 2009 black z06 with only 3k miles. Sold Z06 after ONE WEEK-5 days to be exact for a newer CPO 2009 e90 m3 (identical to old car). Lol; I have car issues and the vetter was a little hardcore to DD (I drive for work) great car though

I'd find it hard to daily as well. You definitely have me beat for fastest car replacement.

Hm - so I only drive my M3 1-2 days a week but I was thinking about making this jump very soon. I guess I need to take a few more test drives in the Z06.. I don't want to be selling it after a week.

1-2x a week is exactly what this cars meant for. It makes an amazing weekend car for 2 and you don't leave wanting for more. If I had to daily mine, I'd be in jail and my wife can attest to that daily duties can get old bc of the long overhang and low ride entry. The ride isn't too bad, especially with the drm bilstein shocks. Not to mention there isn't a BMW tax on everything

I DD mine, though my commute is short (10mi total/day)... Love it. Power anytime, and keeps me plenty entertained and looking forward to the next on-ramp... And I'm on a Caravaggio fixed-back race seat too - No complaints.

I daily drove my h/c/i C6 Z06 with 540 at the wheels and it was perfectly ok as a daily. In the Z06 I did about 16,000 miles per year

I miss my Z06. I use to love the duality of its personality. You can drive it everyday and its comfortable and gets great gas mileage, but if you are an aggressive driver, its VERY rewarding. Perma-smile.

Yeah, Corsas to me make the car sound something its not, too high pitched similar to Euro cars. I might switch to BB Fusion with a valve this way i can control the exhaust a bit.

If you like the PRT's then you'll like the Fusions. Similarities in sound when open, and when closed sounds like stock with the fuse removed
