Featured on M3POST HOMEPAGE.

I'm reposting these pictures from Jason's thread here. Looks great, IMO.

Made of Inconel-isn't this similar to the Eisenmann exhaust?

Looks great! I can't imagine what they'll cost though.

As an aside, I've yet to figure out why in the world anyone would make an exhaust out of inconel (except headers). I've used Inconel in engineering applications (hypersonic aircraft), and it's thermal and strength properties are amazing, but it's dense. At least as much so as Stainless. A low thermal conductivity and high tensile strength aren't needed for the header-back sections of the exhaust.

Titanium is the right way to go for weight reduction.

The actual tailpipes look the same diameter as standard M3 with bigger tips.

It also looks like the chunky tail box has gone from between the pipes. It would be nice to see it from below.

Shame it's not a full HFC system, just a muffler. There doesn't look there will be any power gains, but it will probably sound pretty good.

Surely a better (cheaper) option is the diy surgery of the stock muffler with nice tips?

If it was a full system with a factory tune, I would be there in a shot.

Some up-close footage from M5board. Looks like an Eisenmann.

I hope it offers some actual "performance"... I don't think I'd be interested in paying 3g for a muffler...

It looks pretty bulky underneath in the video. I am interested in what it sounds like.

3400 Euros = $4642 at todays exchange rates. It's going to be expensive!

Yea no joke, that isn't cheap even by BMW standards... I prefer parts from the factory to aftermarket but it needs to be at least comparable to an Akropovic for that kind of cash...

Remember M3s cost over $100K over there, so can't just convert from Euros, but it'll be over 3 grand for sure.

True but a car is much harder to move between countries vs. a car part. If the same part is 3k here what is to keep people from buying them here and shipping them to Europe (arbitrage)?

They could do this with any BMW part really - they are significantly cheaper in the US than in Europe.

But once you factor in shipping, import duties, VAT...
