Side skirt misaligned

Hi guys,

read plenty about misalignment issued between bonnet/front/fenders but not much about the side skirts.
I have this going on both sides, mainly towards the front wheels and wanted to check if it's a common thing and if someone actually found a way to correct it.

Ive had this for about a year now and I haven't given much thought to it. It doesnt wiggle around or anything, so I figured it was snug. I would also be interested in seeing what's caused this over time.

Gentlemen,

So I cannot prove it - but I am pretty sure this happened on my M3 after recent dealer service - it is like part of the arm of the floor jack is placing pressure on it and bends it out of position.

Actually have pictures of it being on the jack I will locate and post when I do zoom in and you will see what I am describing.

+1 on above comment. My e46 has similar from constant lift and Jack use.

Hmm..good input guys, thanks. I had my car liftet for weeks during an earlier DCT job, so that could be it you recon, even with a proper BMW dealer..!?

Or it could be from all the cones I've nailed with it at the track?

Bumping this to see if there are more inputs.
Checked pictures from prior having the car hanging on lifts and the misalignment was already there. Can't see any possibilities to adjust really, but also think these gaps simply are too wide to be coming from production line.

The car is in mint condition with no accident record. Is it a E90 thing..?
