Break-in road trip along the coast?

Thinking about going on a road trip when I get my car to get some miles on the car and speed up the break in period.

I've often driven between SF and LA but never along the coast. Since I've heard it's best to vary your speed etc during break in I was thinking a trip down Highway 1 would be a nice drive. Good/bad idea?

sounds like a great idea to me. HWY 1 is pretty cool drive.

Most of it is a great road. Although this time of year there are a lot of tourists on it. Weekdays are best. Also if possible, travel north to south so it's easier to pull off when you want to stop and enjoy the views.
