This hurt worse than the time i crash my motorcycle into an SUV...

Can't begin to tell u guys how bad it hurt to have a 10 lbs dumbell dropped on your 1 toe...it was on a shelf in the backroom where i keep my tools, i was fumbling around looking for my wrench and out of nowhere it rolled down and bam....from 6ft up right on my toe...

wouldn't be so bad if the force was distributed to all the toes, but just 1 goddamn toe...oh, and it has gotten a lil bigger and more purple since the picture...i'll update tomorrow...

haha i feel you... when i was like in 7th grade i was folding up a multi sectioned ladder and i accidentally let go to one of the pieces and two sections of the ladder... about 15 pounds landed on my thumb. lost my nail and didn't have a full nail for about a little more than 1/2 a year.

Uh, yeah, it's broken. You don't need xray vision to guess that one.

Post the xray image when you get it.

Worst part of foot injuries... Your just screwed.

Not too bad though, I dislocated and reset my three little toes on my right foot by myself, after a viscous and unprovoked attack by a door jamb traveling at high speed in my living room that also cracked two of the smaller bones up inside my foot.

I was limping and hurting for about 2 months. Nothing the doc could do accept "keep off it, take some ibuprofen".

So it could be much worse, but yeah... that shit hurts.

Out off a broken arm, leg, and every finger, when I broke my big toe it hurt the worse....The bad part is there is really nothing you can do except go to the Dr's and get a wooden shoe and maybe get some pain killers or something to reduce the swelling. Good luck.

Shit, how do you know if ur toe is broken or not? I mean it's just bruising up and swelling like crazy...but i can still wiggle it with decent amount of pain..

but i'm gonna get an X-ray just to be sure, this is my basketball leg

You could go get an X-ray, but most likely? You're screwed. Even with Fractures I was told "Keep it elevated, take Ibuprofin". Kinda funny.

It's just going to freaking hurt for a couple of months. If you're wiggling and the bruising hasn't gotten significantly worse you should be GTG.

yeah the big toes hurt the worst - I had a board fall on my big toe at home depot and shear the toe nail right off. That was some serious pain! BTW - I'm still waiting for the nail to fully grow back. It happened about 6 months ago and the toe nail is about 1/2 way right now.

imo go to a doctor asap... you'll need to also massage your toe and breakdown the blood. you do not want the blood to dry up... that will increase the pain later on when you try to break it up. if the blood has not yet hardened... drain it out...
