I too loved my G35 Coupe...but speed wise they are not in the same category as a 335

G35's are not overhyped. They were great cars at the time they were out. G37's on the other hand are overhyped.

Theres a guy down my block with a Blue G35. He has a skyline body kit (its like a 10K body kit) and he is slammed. He ripped half the front fascia off a week after he put it on

But he drives around town all the time at full throttle and he really doesnt go anywhere.

any G is soft, 35 to 37. They're all slow.

stock for stock, the g may be slightly slower but no 328 is going to be faster than my g sedan.

g35 is deffinately not slightly slower than a 335...g35 is as slow as a 328 because ive ran neck and neck with a striahgt pipe/ 6 speed one and beat a stock auto one sorry..and maybe you have the 300hp sedan no way the 260hp stock is comin near a 328...and of course im talking about the first gen g35's not the 07+

i owned an 05 G35 coupe b4 my 335i, it was a fun lil car.. just too heavy. it performed well for its time but why are you comparing it to a current gen 328? shoot, a toyota camery V6 is faster than a G35 now. i've never heard anyone thinkin a stock G35 is in the same league as the 335i.. but then again, there are plenty of idiots out there.

there are a bunch of Z/G that are FIed so i be careful though.

That's not an accurate statement... I've had a few times with slightly better launches than my buddy's 335xi and maintained the lead, but I don't start making rules that a G37 is faster than a 335i, just based off those limited experiences.

The G35 varied in horsepower from 260, 280, 298, and 306 depending on trim/year. Other than the 260 hp version from 03-04, I can't imagine a 328i keeping up with any of the others. In reality, the previous generation G35s slot right in between the 328 and 335 - with the 03-04 auto being the closest to the 328 and the 06-07 6MT coupe being the closest to the 335i.

well they might be slow depending what your comparing it to but they still have the best stock exhaust IMO

well i was originally comparing a 328 coupe vs 280hp G coupe ...ive beaten the auto n was neck and neck with stick....i guess the g is too heavy for the 280 ponies
