Gintani Xpipe w/HFC's?
Ive read conflicting threads on Gintani's xpipe solution. Do they sell an xpipe w/HFC's (and resonators) that will not throw a CEL? I thought I read they had a 300 cel HFC that would prevent the CEL (without an ecu tune).
Can anyone set the record straight? Also, what are these things going for? Has anyone mated one of these up w/OEM exhaust? |

sure...basically, yes they have their xpipe w/300 cel HFC's for sale. At this point they only have them installed on a few cars and they want to test some more to ensure that they wont' throw a CEL....so far so good, but it's a little early to make a defninitive statement that they won't throw a code.

Their x-pipe is by far the best design on the market IMO. Makes the mufflers sound more exotic and puts down more power. They are on the expensive side but the quality is very nice.

The $4500 includes the muffler. Price of the xpipe with cats is in the low to mid $2k range - don't remember exactly. Basically pricing is in line with other products out there.
Agree with MrHarris - it is a super nice piece. BC

I think 4500 with hfc is a great price if its true, im not sure either, prob. right around there. I payed a little less for their whole set up with out cats. Just think about how much hfc cost by them selves. Plus u wont get 25+whp with ur new wheels

ok i see. Is the power gains better with x-pipe, four resonators. Or is the 300 cell with resonators and x pipe better gains? Also dinan has the setup with resonators. Is it compearable? One more question, what is the hp diffrence's with these setup's and a full open exhaust? Using my stock muffler. If you decide not to post pm me thanks.

I think for the best gains you should be looking at cattless x-pipe. the resonator are just so your car can have a toned down voice. go for the resonator cattless for the best gains

300cpi cats should not throw codes. Not sure what cat's they use though.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
