I think the design of the stock exhaust is well balanced and a very carefully calculated trade-off. Yes, it is a bit mute under 4000 rpms, but then it rips. I don't want more noise at the top end; that would only bring upon undesired attention in the city, which is where I do most of my driving. It's one thing to roam around in style, another to scare children. If this was a dedicated track car, yeah, by all means, let it rip all the time. But I might reconsider in a few years depending on what I decide to do with the car.
