2013 - unboxing to mid-modification
First time doing this, please take it easy on me. Wanted to share some photos of my car from when it arrived to where I'm at with 155 miles and 3 days later. I'm a big DIY person, while wanting to know the intricacies of this car. Found some interesting material combos underneath the vehicle and tried to capture as much as I could. First set is stock obviously. Second, with mods. Hope you guys enjoy, as I find myself adding more toys and driving less!
I also confirmed/denied some myths regarding installation which I'm more than happy to share if anyone has questions. Thus far: m3 edition kidney/gills cf spoiler roadbloack protective covering dinan cat-back dinan pulley RPI scoops drop in BMC filter extended dct paddles eas aluminum pedals Lux Angels Gloss Hood vents obviously coded to the max roof is at the shop having cf gloss vinyl done on the roof with black replacement fin Mike Last edited by mikefromMA; 04-07-2013 at 11:19 PM.. |

^ That 4 month wait keeps you restless at many stages, and I felt it necessary to "calm" myself by buying something new for it. Haha
Nevertheless, thank you and what a machine! Side note, after owning 15 BMWs over the years, I'm starting a one man campaign to make Dinan cool again. Their products are so well manufactured, I had no idea the precision and quality. Now it only takes 3 drinks to justify the cost, rather than the 6 it used to take. |

thanks guys, Regarding scoops, I've changed so many factors at once, it's virtually impossible to tell which has improved what. What I do know is the intake screams a little louder and the acceleration is noticeably different...more so above 4k rpm...even though that leaves me with 1.5k to mess with for the time being.
Regarding Lux, I never have the opportunity to take pics during the day, given work schedule... South Shore area |

DIY is the way to go Must be fund installing new parts on something that looks so spanking new
Some critique from my end if you are open to it: 1) You need to take better pictures. Preferably take pictures on a less sunny day These pictures don't do justice to your amazing car. 2) Not digging the M stripes on the front grill. 3) You need a diffuser. That's all Enjoy your new car |

Nice looking car before and after, just a little more aggressive in all dept's. Congrats, happy modding.
Keep the stock pieces, you might find yourself going back and forth...just my experience. |
