It's definitely doable but depends on your other needs and expenses. This I'm sure you already know. Also, the car is amazing dont get me wrong, but the excitement dwindles over 5(or however many years) while you still have to make payments.

So what happens when you pick up a hot girl in the M3? Take her to your parents house?
You're 22. Why anchor yourself with a car? Take your youth and money and travel, see interesting places and have as much sex with different girls as you can. You can always buy an M3 later, when you need it.

these types of threads are always entertaining. besides the earnest advice, you have three types of fun posts:
1. the YOLO!!! posts from future credit counseling clients 2. the rags to riches stories 3. people who stop by just to slyly brag about how much they make |

Don't do it. Continue to accumulate currency. Then secure living arrangements. Then acquire M3.
Don't spend your money on a depreciating asset when you don't have a house. |

Well I mean, I'm only 19 so that being said I can't say much.
However, IF I had my own job making 60k/yr, and just starting out my life I would think about getting a nice car obviously but the question is which one? Now, I don't think getting an M3 right away is something that is very wise. Think about it, what if things were to go wrong with the car, the repair cost are unbelievably expensive. Maybe you could think about a cheap e46 M3. At the same time, my mentality would to be, if you can't buy it in cash you shouldn't be buying it. Also whatever you make, you should be saving 40% or more, and the other you blow it off and enjoy. Even a CPO 335 would be a much wiser decision. It's fun, cheaper, better on gas and also would have more warranty than the M3. Again, I'm not the guy to be giving life lessons here, I'm just giving out my opinion and the way I would think in your situation.

Only you know the answer to this dude...but if I were you, I would work on getting your own place first whether it be an apartment or whatever. Having a M3 and living at home is nothing to brag to anyone about, nor nothing to be proud of. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Here's my 2 cents.
Step 1: buy a BMW CCA Membership ($48) Step 2: Book a trip to BMW's 2 day M School in South Carolina (use CCA membership to get 15% off) Step 3: If your set on a e9x m3 get a 09' and buy extended warranty, if not get an e46 m3 with less than 100,000 miles and then buy an extended warranty for that. Step 4: With money save buying an older m3, move out. |

You can def swing a lease for $850 ish...just remember, you will be paying an extra $150 a month in gas, and $75 in insurance... At $60k, that means you're making about $900 a week...so if anything changes with your life situation bills wise you'd HAVE to get out of the M3...
Don't listen to the 40 year olds on here who are haters... |

I am so glad I don't live in Cali/Florida/NY and have to deal with teenaged E92 drivers.
But on another note, these threads seem to pop up monthly. Why cant we treat this like a "which exhaust sounds the best" thread and ridicule the OP and advise him to do a search?? If these threads are trollish then they always get lots of bites. |

I say to the OP do whatever the heck you want. We're not your parents. It's your money. Just don't come crying to us IF things don't work out.

Wow. I almost missed this gem until my esteemed colleague below brought it to my attention. Did you invent the Shamwow? I absolutely agree though, you are extremely mature... It so totally sucks that some people can't afford an M3, like for reals. I'm guessing you keep a bong, a funnel and some business cards in the trunk of your M3 for all your important "business" meetings. Never can be too prepared, ya know! |
