JB Racing Flywheel

I'd like to hear your comments on this flywheel (or even any light weight flywheel for that matter). Mine chatters a bunch at idle. I installed a new OEM clutch. Didn't want to get crazy changing how the car drives and how the pedal feels. I enjoy driving it on the street as it is now. I haven't taken the car to the track yet but it feels great.

Awesome.

Which vendor did you buy this from? Even the stock car will chatter a bit. I LOVED my JB Racing flywheel on my E36. Great product.

You should have gone with a Kevlar or segmented Kevlar clutch, they are 100% streetable. If you're not planning on a lot of power, it's no big deal though.

Fuck, now I miss my 6MT.

A lightweight flywheel is just a nasty concept on a high revving V8...

I purchased direct.

A lightweight flywheel is a must for high revving engines!

Okay so where is the chattering coming from? I've installed light weight flywheels on many of my cars and the noise I get from this one is the most I've ever heard. Is it the discs bouncing around?

It's the nature of the beast man. Post a video of it if you wish, Lightweight flywheels on BMW's have always and will always chatter.

Here's a great article.
