It looks more like a Cayman because the greenhouse is a lot smaller. I think this looks great. I know that the 911 has great visibility and it will now lose some of this but I welcome this change. I think the car just looks so much more sleek and gives more flow to the roofline.

Going to be a great car undoubtedly. My only complaint about the aesthetics from what we've seen is that it looks long. I have this same complaint with the e92 M3.

I have read though that the 991 will see a weight reduction from the 997. I hope BMW follows this philosophy with the f3x m3...

The 458 has a dry weight of a touch over 3000lbs, with racing seats. Factor in fluids, and standard seats, and you're looking at a curb weight around 3200

It is NOT a light car. Ferrari can quote all the dry weight they light, but fact of the matter is, its a heavy car.

Wow dude, chill out. I provided an R&T link which said it was 32xx which seemed to corroborate Ferrari's dry weight of 30xx. I hadn't seen any "as tested" weights (which include driver and fuel, so they are in constant inconsistency). It's certainly not a light car, but it's on par with it's segment. And don't even start to think Ferrari is the only one who provides the press with "hot" cars

Ok...perhaps just the way I read it.

Car weight can be argued to the death, on one hand, it makes sense that the listed weight does not include driver, since not everyone weighs the same, which will effect (albeit not very much) everything from handling to acceleration to gas mileage. Additionally, since the amount of fuel in a car is always in flux, it makes sense that the most "consistent" weight would be with an empty tank.

If this is the case, Ferrari must be overestimating the curb weight based on the figures R&T lists for curb weight (unless they weigh the car with a bone dry tank themselves, which is nearly impossible). R&T's difference between curb and tested weight for the 458 is only 160lbs, one would think that some fuel in the tank (given a gallon of pump gas weighs about 6lbs per gal), driver, and testing gear would equal more than 160lbs.

It looks more sleek. The roofline looks more low slung and the headlights as well as the tailights are going to be more 'tilted'. I'm already really excited with how it's going to look.
