Iphone 4 snap in adapter

I was trying to get the iphone 4 craddle for my 2011 M3 but BMW parts dep told me it wont be out for sale until March 2011

Yours works fine with your original cable? Can't charge or play music with my very early '08. I'm assuming I need an updated cable.

The cable I received with my 2010 M3 works fine with the iPhone4. Make sure you do not have the iphone3 dock installed at the same time (given you have one). I found that you cannot have both (dock and Y-adapter) connected at the same time.

I am also selling my iPhone 3G dock. Only used for 6 months until I got the iphone 4. $80/shipped. PM if interested.

I discovered my playing issue was the rubber bumper case on the phone was preventing the cable from seating. New Y-cable with power outlet adapter was required for chargin, though.

I ordered it here at my dealer. They called me today it's in and I will pick it up tomorrow.

So, I had the cradle for 2 days now. Works, but the phone after an hour drive is so hot, I could almost burn my fingers on it. I have never seen the phone so hot. I doubt this is good for the phone....
