Cow Bell Noise, which side of the car?

I know we have lots of posts about what the noise is and what people think it is.. But I am curious where the noise comes from on peoples cars. Mine is 100% always on the driver side. Where does your noise come from?

Oh hell. No sooner did I read this and now I have it. Really loud. What's the quickest procedure to get rid?

Lol. Me too. I just noticed it last night and only clicked on it because it does actually sound like a cow bell. How do we get rid of it?

There appear to be multiple causes. When i posted a video of the sound in my thread entitled "Cowbell Noise: Losing Patience" it ended up being a pebble inside of the rotor - per the Dealer. They removed it handed it to me and said "here's your problem." I unceremoniously threw it on the ground as soon as I walked out. I have not had any problems since.

In other cases, I have heard that there is a pebble trapped in the heat shield. I've also heard it being a problem with the E Brake. Take it to the dealer and have them take it out.

In my case the left rear heat shield was touching the ebrake mechanism and occasionally binding up against it, then releasing, causing the "ping" noise. Just bent it out of the way a little, no big deal. Didn't even have to pull the wheel.
