Refinishing my 360 Forged Spec 5ive

So I decided to have my inners made to match my centers, I took my rims to my local rim repair guy and have him take apart my wheels. The reason I wanted the inners to match my centers and be clearcoated is because when I clean my rims, I like to clean on the inside too and without any clearcoat or paint on the inners, the dirt really sticks in there. I had a few little rock chips and I scratched 2 of the centers myself when putting the 360 Center Caps back in after getting new rubber so I figured I might as well have my guy reclear all 4 of them. I went by the shop today to watch how they do the "brushed aluminum" finish, and its pretty damn cool. I will post more pics tomorrow to show the progress. I thought it would be cool, and many guys probably haven't seen the wheels taken apart. Ill post pics of the inners tomorrow also!

Enjoy!

He sands down the rims and/or powder coats them with the alumnium/clearcoat finish?

and he charges normally $800-1000 for all 4 wheels?...

Something is not right

Noone is touching wheels for less than $100 a piece, or noone I would want touching my wheels at least!

He is not only refinishing the centers, he is also doing the inners. and clearcoating them.

Proper works costs money, but Im not paying anywhere near $800 because it is my friend who is doing it.

Im not an expert but that doesnt sound very expensive to me. Nothing more annoying than buying beautiful rims and they have a chip or scratch in them. Its all you will ever see when you look at them.

Doing all that work to wheels for 800 is actually kinda cheap.

I know...my buddy paid (for the exact same wheel on his 997 Turbo) just to paint the centers, no work on the inners - he was originally quoted $1200 and he ended up paying $1000.
