Thanks South, your a mate.
I actually hope this poll is beneficial to BMW, because is might show a cross section of whether or not this latest software is a step in the right direction. |

Definitely much improved and seems to be getting better over time - not quite 100% but I only now really notice slight lag if I go looking for it... I've accepted the problem is not the major issue it was before and I do not notice any lag if I just drive normally and don't go looking for a problem...

Almost T-boned yesterday while trying to make a left hand turn from 25 mph. At least I had the momentum to carry me through while the POS made up it's mind.

LOL. Mine used to STALL (totally DIE). Problem is (other than stalling in the first place), you have to press the fricken BRAKE (ie: STOP) to restart. Then WAIT for the tranny to engage before you can GTFO of the intersection. I almost drove the car back after that and demanded a new car. lol.
It IS getting better, and I love the DCT otherwise (asside from the lag). The lag was improved greatly from the last update I did, but they still have improvements to make. Are you saying you have the most recent update Joe? If so, that is not good news. The update I got is a few months old.

For me the latest software made the lag notably better - if I could quantify the imporvement I would say 50% less lag. Also in my case the lag has not gotten worst (crossing fingers though).
However what IMO makes the latest software a significant improvement and definitely worth implementing is the fact that I get the feeling that the tranny is now (i) consistent, (ii) it knows what it wants to do under all circumstances, and (iii) works its way fast to implement its decision (or at least faster than before). |

Rats. The one I got was older...like 2.33.0 I think. Yours is like 4 versions newer than mine...not good.

If you exclude the bottom two options you have a total of 20 people who have voted, with a quarter saying that the lag has returned after a unspecified period of time. That's a greater number of people than even I thought we would get.

I give them the same routine every time, I've already had it done 3x, I do it without complaining, I just walk in and say I want it done.

I've driven about 2000 miles with the update and lag is almost gone. I only notice it when the car changes down to 1st gear - the 2nd gear lag is gone.
I have ISTA/P 2.34.0.0.2 |

July build, August delivery, I haven't really noticed any on the move lag as of yet but still running in so maybe not explored every driving situation? The only time I have noticed the slightest lag is when reversing out of my drive and moving from Reverse to First, otherwise I think it's a terrific box
