need help pricing an 08 e92 m3
hi
i am looking to upgrade to an m3. currently in an 08 evo x. love the awd turbo, but ready to move onto luxury speed and being able to lose grip every once in a while! working on a deal for an 08 interlagos blue m3 but only want to seal the deal if its a good one. the details: -50k miles(50k maintenance performed) -clean history/title -6 speed -e92 coupe -stock everything else im only looking to make the move at a GREAT price... what would you guys consider a steal for a car like this? thanks in advance! |

nice! thank you for the feedback atown. i hope to be a M owner in seattle soon. i have been on the market for a couple months but looking for the right deal. took me a year of searching before i bought my evo. so 38-42k is the range... so you would say 38k is a great deal?

I bought my 08 (fully loaded) last year with 39k miles for $39k. I'd say you can go lower, but the e92s usually sell a little bit higher than e90s.

are there any packages or options with this car? Sub-40k if it has no options. My friend picked up a fully loaded 08 with 50k mileage for 42k.

Got my 08 ssII few months ago. Every option, 6spd, 12k miles for 41.5k. He even included a car cover
GL with the shopping, don't rush into anything, M3's come so often right now in the market. |

This time (end of the cycle) is the worst time to buy M3 in terms of pricing. '08s with 40-60k miles have not moved from $38-48k range in about 2 years. Good entry was 2 years ago.
Now it is something like this: 2013-65 2012-60 2011-55 2010-50 2009-45 2008-40 KBB lists '08 as $34-36k car which is where it realistically should be. The fact it is still ongoing model carries that $5k premium. I am waiting until end of 2013 to pick up an '09. |

I bought my loaded 08 M3 CPO with 24k miles in Jan for 48k. If you plan to mod then you have flexibility by not having to find a loaded M.
