M3 Gone but Mods are not!
Sold my M3 recently but not my parts/mods. How many of you have done that I wonder. How many have just kept the parts on the car or others who have removed them for sale to a new good home? I think removing them was the best as you don't get much value from them on a trade/dealer sale. Anyway following mods are avail still. Check out the personal sale section of the forum or do a search on my username. 1. Essienman Sport exhaust (cat back) - SOLD 2. CF Steering faceplate (JLevi) - SOLD 3. OEM 18" M3 Wheels set with Dunlop 3D Max Winter tires 4. 2009 NAV/HD CIC retrofit (minus USB cable/2009 I Drive controller) - SOLD Interested in the votes/poll though. Enjoy your cars! Mdrobc

if you started this post as a shameless way of selling your parts outside the FS section then you succeeded. lol. (PM sent, lol)
To answer your question, you're correct. No one will properly value your mods when they're on the car, they're bidding on the car itself, and the mods only can complicate things as 1. some do not trust that the mods work 2. personal taste issue, (I like Akra exhaust, and not your Eisenmann, so no reason why I would pay up for your Eisenmann when I didn't even want it) The part out is the best way, though from my last car's experience even premium parts are sold at fractions of original purchase price, Good luck |

Clever post

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

No I did post the part out under the relevant sections online on the Forum...I was just interested in what others thought and also that some voting might also have an interest in something they see.
