Roof rack on carbon fiber roof?

Any thoughts on whether the carbon fiber roof will allow for a roof rack either oem or after market? If oem, how long before bmw might offer a r.r as an accessory?

Thanks.

i think that it shouldn't be an issue. i noticed the rack mounts along the side of the roof similar to the 335i. it shouldn't be long before it is available. you could possibly check the bmw germany website to see if they have it in the accessory dept.

There are pictures of a mule being tested with CF roof and roof rack here on the board. I think it was one of the earliest Space Grey on FR mules we saw.

German price list has a roof rack listed, too. Maximum load is 75kg.

Best regards, south

The cross bar for E92 (CFK) costs 155 € incl. VAT (130€ without VAT).
Additional there are three different sizes of roof racks available: Starting at 348€ (292€), the biggest is at 629€ (528€).

Best regards, south
