Hp Touch Pad

I think I'm going crazy here, but what are the chances that HP is doing this as some kind of ploy to flood the consumer market with WebOS devices? I know they are losing money at $100 and $150, but that's how Toyota got people to buy the Prius at first - by losing money at each Prius they sell.

Doubtful... they cost $318 in parts for Hp to make them... I don't see the marketing ploy in it...

Ive always wondered this I read how much it costs to make one when you look up individual part numbers but I would think they get a huge discount when they order as much as they do. I would bet they aren't loosing much.

They also have a white version on the website with a 64 gig and 4g where is that now mmm?

It was a test, they never released it general public as far as I know...

Don't forget though, the prices were basically the same as Apple when they first released the Touchpad..

Also, depending on what video you watch on youtube will determine your view of the HP... lots of Apple fan boys out there that bash it, some even edit video to make it look slower than it actually is and stuff also..

I do not think its better than the iPad besides flash support of course but for the money the touch pad is a great deal I could not pass up.

I ordered mine for $99 through circuit city. At first I tried online and at the last step it kept timing out so I called them and got through. They charged my card and the guy said it should be going out this afternoon.
