Increased Emissions

Got the SES light today for increased emissions. All I have as far as performance mods is a Tubi exhaust. Can this be the problem? It was just the connecting pipes and mufflers that were swapped out. Also, has anyone had a problem with an aftermarket exhaust at the dealership? I've read some of the other threads, and it seems that most with a problem like this have HFCs, etc. Also, is performance effected (doesn't seem like it) and can I drive a couple hundred miles on it like this? Btw, my gas cap is secure...

Yes - this is pretty common (at least for me) ...once a year I'll get the "increased emmissions" message ....it does not affect performance ....and it will go away after a while.
Its not caused by your aftermarket muffler
I'm not sure what causes it ....but I know its harmless.
