Got a chance to really exercise the suspension today on some street sweepers

I have a few 90 to 100MPH sweeper on-ramps around here that when traffic allows, will allow you to test how stable your suspension is.

So comparing against my 335I with KWV2 I would have to say that the M3 in full "Sport" mode is about 90% of what the KWV2's are as far as keeping the rear end planted and stable with some uneven pavement at 90 to 100MPH.

There are some (very minor) oscillations in the rear trying to settle itself after being upset, the KWV2 managed to control that quicker without feeling unsettled at all.

All in all though, pretty good for a stock suspension. I don't feel the need to pay $2K+ on a coilover system on this car as I did in the 335I, which had a VERY unstable rear-end with the ZSP.

I am not sure what role the tires play though, I had 35 series on the 335I and my M3 has the 40 seres 18's right now. I am sure the taller side wall may be part of the un-settleness in the rear. We will see, I should have my HRE's with 255/35/19 and 295/30/19 in a couple of weeks.

Having said that I am able to carry a little more speed thru the corners in the M over the 335I, I believe that has more to due with the M differential and tire sizes though, and not the suspension. In the case of the 335I, the car and tires was the limiting factor and not the KWV2's for corner speed.

Very minimal. Less body roll than my 335I w/ H&R sway bars
