Even my OEM rotors developed the heat cracks. It's not really a big deal. Wear it as a badge of honor!

I'm having the same issue with my ST40, slotted rotors and street performance pad....which race pad did you end up going with?? Link isn't working for me.

I had deposits from Ferodo DS 2500. Installed PFC 08 pads, ran them on the street for a few weeks and it did get rid of the problem.

I just read on STOPTECH site that they recommend using the Hawk Blue 9012...I guess instead of doing the braking procedure, I could just drive around for a bit. I just hate the thought of spending $200 for a set of pads to fix my issue, and then have to spend another $100+ just to find a set of pads that won't cause this issue again to my new $600/pair rotors....this BBK is damn expensive and I probably should go back to the stock caliper/rotors/pads for the cost of this exercise!

I also have slight shaking but rotor looks great with 38mm thickness.. I'm about to change my pads for ones with carbon because every time I drive these when it rains they rust onto the rotor and get stuck and when I drive again it pops pretty loud so carbon-ceramic will be my next pad Hawks HPS I guess. Also before I install those I will be turning these rotors. I hear there is no issue turning drilled rotors... any tips?
You can actually see aa imprint of the pad on the bottom of the rotor...

I sent customer support at STOPTECH and wow, what great customer service...they called me and I described what was happening. Pat told me to run the street pads, which are actually the sport pads (309) hard and keep doing to bedding process to see if the condition gets better. If so, then I'll switch to the new "street" pads.

I've heard of this before but never tried it myself. Usually people say Hawk blues will work for this as they are extremely abrasive, though I imagine other full track pads will work as well.

Another thing you can do is measure the rotor at various points from the inside to outside to see if the surface has become uneven. This would also likely be apparent from running your finger along the rotor though.
It works. i have the hawk blue track pads for instances like these

They are also excellent at turning nice looking wheels into shitty looking wheels, just add rain. Makes concrete-like stuff you can't get off without a chisel.
