Too bad that they dont build the M5 as a Coupé with 2 doors.

Is it feasible that fuel, and not tires, would be the limiting factor for how long a car can drift?I honestly can't figure out of it's a marketing gimmick or if a wet track really does protect your tires that much...

Wet track is waaaaaayyyyy easier on tires. They could have also just put in a larger fuel tank, but that wouldn't have made as cool of a video

Interesting. I wonder why they didn't use a drone to refuel? Still cool though.

They put a lot of distance between the old record and the new one. They had to refuel 3 or 4 times to go 250 miles.

Not as dramatic, but wouldn't it be easier to add a fuel cell to the trunk/back seat?

I wonder what they did for refueling the driver? The most rational way I can think of is they had a taco truck drift next to the driver so he could place his order and recieve his food.

That's what I was wondering, they stopped drifting when they hit cars, so how did they continue counting that??

Refueling

My daughter does this refuel thing in a F18 at 450 mph. Really cool.

The M5 is very impressive refueling.

I think I read somewhere that the Guinness officials actually allow you to stop to refuel and then continue your run and they still count it towards the record. If that's the case, then I'd imagine the 1 second pause when the cars hit isn't going to nullify the record either.
