Airbag Recall Location
Anyone in the Atlanta area have their airbag recall taken care of? Curious where the best place to go is and hoping to find one that has a good track with enthusiasts. Last thing I want is to drop my car off and become another horror story. I've had a track record with various dealerships doing some shady stuff, so hoping to not continue the trend.
Thanks! Tyler |

I have called Global BMW three times to get some sort of info on timing to get my recall done and have heard nothing. I would have thought after paying $300 for a "simple" oil change (12 M3 Vert DCT) that I would have gotten some sort of response. Has Global BMW gone downhill? May call either United or BMW of South Atlanta to see if I can schedule to get this recall done. However weather isn't to nice for a convertible so may wait until spring to do something.

Atlanta is a bad area for BMW dealers. No real good customer oriented dealers around since United changed managment a few years ago. As a note Bimmers Service center does oil changes for $145 OTD. They have a Kennesaw and a Roswell location. |

Based on the ATLBIMMERS FB group, United BMW in Roswell has plenty in stock for e9x. Planning to get mine done there soon.

Car in for airbag recall
Dropped off my M3 for the airbag recall one day earlier than scheduled..was a lot less traffic on MLK day. Let's hope Global gets it right so when I call tomorrow they don't say what M3! Lol Will keep you guys posted on how the process goes.

Air Bag Done
Got my BMW back with little or no drama..except for driving the M3 in the snow and ice to get it back home. The battery did however set me back around $460. On a plus note however my auto/stop start worked for the first time in forever.
So in short, if you want Global BMW to do your airbag recall have them order the part particularly for you and then when the part comes in they will call you..about 2 weeks or so. Best of luck. |
